SCAR Patch Notes - 5/5/2025 

As always: The page numbers are as of this post! They may change very quickly!

Hotfixes:

Page 36 - We had the Signature Ability a little too vague, we updated the wording to be clearly "At Attribute 9".

**MAJOR** We have decided to change "Special" to "Ethereal" for the type of attacks, the Ethereal Evasion/Integrity, and so on. This has been updated throughout!

Patch Notes:

Page 11 - We have adjusted what goes into the Natural and Artificial Dice Pools. Stat Changes now apply!

Page 12 - We put in a clarification that the "attacker" is always up to the ST for determining ties.

**MAJOR** Page 20 - Players now receive 100 XP at Character Creation instead of 60! **This is a heavily playtest feature and may be adjusted or removed later!!!**

Page 24 - Put in a Note to explain more about how damage works with the different Size Categories. We've removed the Note about which Expertise to use to combine it into a new Rule Box about which Stat to use for Attributes and Expertises.

Page 42 - Added new Basic Affinity Feats finally! Check out Basic Hack, Impact, or Impale as well as Type Adaptation!

Page 44 - The "Get Behind Me" Feat has been changed to "Hit Someone Your Own Size" and reworked its mechanics. It is now an Aura.

Page 46 - The "Shared Pain" Feat has also been reworked the same as above.

Page 50 - Added the Special Movement Feats! As well as Water Breathing, and AoE Phasing

Page 55 - Updated Bulk Capacity rules. You can carry more now!

Page 56 - Put in information about how many items you can equip

Page 57 - Explained Equipment and Technology Levels

**MAJOR** Page 71 - Explained the various types of Special Movements and how they work! Including Phasing and Teleportation.

**MAJOR** Page 80 - Added the Meld Maneuver! Essentially a solo combo maneuver!

Page 82 - Removed a line from the Multiattack Maneuver in order to preserve the universal rule of Natural vs Artificial Dice Pools

Page 86 - Added a Rule Box clarifying that Evasion, Integrity, and Soul Save can not be reduced lower than 0

Page 91 - Note box added to clarify that Death is based on your normal Max HP, not your debuffed Max HP (such as after a Wound)

Page 97 & 98 - Added tables for examples of XP and Power Caps.

Page 103 - Changed the Move Trait "Teleport" to "Teleshift" to differentiate it easier from the new Teleportation Primeval Feature. It no longer gives double range out of combat.

Page 105 - Removed an old rule about Stat Changes and Buffs. You need to purchase the Chance to apply for buffing as well as debuffing!!!

Page 114 - Added to a Rule Box with info about Armor Penalties, reduced the cost of "Faster than Fast Paws" to 10 XP.

**MAJOR** Page 121 - Added a Primeval Feature for Teleportation!

Page 129 - Clarified language for Flanking rules.

Page 146 - Added rules for Storytellers to include Traps!
